With things like radishes, lettuce, beetroot and peas don’t forget to keep sowing them every 2 -3 weeks to keep a constant supply going.
I wish I had followed my own advice and planted some more radishes sooner, my last three that were shown as seedlings in the ‘Vegetables to Sow in May’ post are in the picture and the new ones are nowhere near ready.
For me this year’s radishes are the best I have ever grown, they are not too hot and even when they get huge they don’t turn woody and dry inside.
They are a variety called ‘Sofia’ from Lidl’s 49p a packet, they still had some left on Friday when I bought some more.
There are still plenty of seeds that you can sow directly into the ground or containers in June and you will still get a crop.
Courgette, cucumber, pea, runner bean, sweetcorn.
Beetroot, carrot, endive, radish, onion.
Broccoli, cauliflower.
Brussels sprout, cabbage, cardoon, kohlrabi, celery, chervil, chinese cabbage, cress, escarole, endive, fennel, lettuce, parsley, purslane, rocket, sorrel, swiss chard.
The picture is of the seedlings shown in last months what to sow post.
