Ventnor Permaculture Gardening Questions?
May 11, 2008 by Angie
Having been reminded by a friend that Gardeners’ Question Time is on Radio 4 this afternoon 2pm - 2:45, repeated on Wednesday at 3pm, I thought a few of you may have questions about Ventnor and Isle of Wight gardening.
If you have any questions about growing anything you can get answers far quicker by asking Ventnor Permaculture. We have members who who would not thank me for telling you how many years experience they have had growing vegetables and flowers!
As I am growing a lot of my crops in containers I have just got a new book about growing vegetables in containers which has lots of info about what size pots you need to grow different plants in. At the moment I don’t have the time to type it all up but if you need to know what size pot to use or any other related questions, please ask. Growing container veg is a great way to start out and especially useful if you only have a patio or are renting.
Ken has done a permaculture design course and has a plot of land that he grows a lot of fruit trees and bushes on and will happily answer any fruit related questions.
Wendy has an established allotment and Tim has just borrowed a garden that he is starting to cultivate. So we have a wide variety of almost experts to answer any questions.
You may have a question you think is too simple or daft but if you have that question there will also be others that do too. So ask away, your questions will help all gardeners and would be gardeners.
During the winter we will be doing a growing guide for each vegetable but if you have a question now, please ask.
You can do so by putting your question in the comments box below or email ventnorpermaculture(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk
Your name and email address will of course not be published.
